Matt Trent

Matt Trent grew up in Clovis, California, graduating from Buchanan High School in 1995. Following high school, Matt received a degree in Sociology from CSU, Stanislaus. In 1999, Matt married Megan DePonte and they were blessed with three children, Madison, Micah, and Macey. Sadly, Megan passed away in a tragic accident in 2011. Following the loss of Megan, the Trent family temporarily relocated to California. They were able to return to Norman in 2013. Matt eventually married his current wife, Rachel, in 2016.

 

He was ordained as an evangelist in 2002 by the Oakdale Church of Christ. Matt has worked with three congregations: Oakdale, CA, El Cajon, CA, and Norman, OK. Over the years, his work has also included international travel and writing for various publications. He currently serves as an editor for Christian’s Expositor and is writing a commentary on the gospel of John. Matt has been working with Norman since 2013.
